Projects: Papertree Design

Amidst a plethora of challenging projects I undertook what would prove to be the most challenging of them all, a total redesign and rebrand of Papertree Design. After the previous design was launched and after a few days of allowing it to properly sink in I realized that I was extremely unhappy with what had been produced. (You can actually read a self critique of it here.) From that day forward I started planning for what would become the next incarnation of the site and possibly the business itself.

Careful planning lead to a lot of eye openers across the board leading me to explore many areas that needed to be revised.

It could take several pages in full detail to properly communicate the full process, the short and sweet version would focus on several key areas. One it creates a stronger branding overall, something that has been severely lacking and will be absolutely necessary as we move forward into the year ahead. Two, it brings back a stronger focus on the written content of the site, something that has always been an important factor with my clients. (they tell me so) Three, it offers a greater flexibility to share content, writing, personal project and the ever important portfolio. Lastly it opens up a stronger communication with my clients and offers an easier path to getting in touch. Not to mention it has changed some of the business process as well.

Key Points:

  1. Stronger Branding
  2. Easier to use form of communication.
  3. Greater flexibility
  4. Revamped site framework
  5. Stronger Focus on key elements
  6. Better overall flow & Navigation
