Two month reunion

We are approaching two months since this theme was first released and having not really marketed it at all I am excited that 40 of you have decided to take it for a spin. With that said, I am hoping that a few of you out there have subscribed to the updates or at the very least check back from time to time and can now come back for a reunion of sorts.

Having recently updated the main Papertree Site, wrapped up a few client projects and begun development of a second theme, I would now like to focus on the next steps for this theme. So I would love for any feedback, ideas or notes on bugs you have experienced. Please feel free to email me: jeremy [at] papertreedesign or drop a comment below.

Also I would definitely recommend and/or appreciate if you took the time to subscribe to Papertree Design, if for no other reason than to get ongoing updates on this theme and new ones on the way.

Looking forward to your replies!

  1. Hello! Very nice theme. Love it. I want to use it for my photo-blog, but i need to make some changes. I want to make it one column and I want images on the main page. Is it a big job?
    Thanks!

  2. The theme is nice and simple.

It would be great if you could upgrade this theme to use the newest options available in WordPress 2.9 ( such as post thumbnail. )

  3. I am always open to hearing suggestions for improvements. I would be interested to know how you would be interested in using post thumbnail with the particular theme as it may help me to decide how to incorporate it. On a side note you could technically create a Child Theme in which you add theme support for post thumbnail as well as add it to the theme templates using the available hooks.

Let me know what you envision for this type of support, feel free to shoot me an email as well – jeremy@papertreedesign.com

  4. Wew, a very neat looking theme. Love it!

And looking forward to your next theme as well :)

  5. Wow, thank you, I sincerely appreciate that compliment coming from you. I am hoping to free up enough time to get rolling on something new in the near future.

A beautiful theme. I absolutely love the simplicity and freedom from clutter.

I second the comment from Paul in that I would like to see it take advantage of the options available in 2.9. Either way, I plan to try it out soon!

  7. Shane -

Thanks for dropping by to leave a comment, let me know how the theme works out for you. Like I said to Paul above, feel free to drop another comment or email to let me know how you would like to see post thumbs implemented. Perhaps I will build a child theme that takes advantage of post thumbs and leave the original Charlene theme in tact.

Look forward to hearing your suggestions and thanks again for stopping by.
